Flying Fast Thinking Faster with ATS NYC at The Squadron
Last night, the American Technology Services New York team bundled up and crunched across the ice to the World Trade Center. After a few elevator rides up, we all stepped into a quiet corporate hallway. Behind an unassuming door was The Squadron.
We swapped business casual for flight suits and headed to a briefing room for a crash course on flying F1 fighter jets. Then we entered a circular bay of high-fidelity, highly accurate flight simulators.
The environment shifted. Screens lit up. Headsets snapped on. The ATS team dropped into a simulated flight mission built to test how people think and work as a unit.
During the first debrief, we broke down what made our top flyer effective. The room soon filled with sharp observations, quick tactical shifts, and unexpected laughter. For the second mission, we paired up. Clear communication and support made a difference. Our individual scores doubled.
It was not a typical company outing. There were no trust falls. This experience showed how culture forms between meetings, how our team can rally when it counts.
The Squadron reinforced habits that strengthen both our people and our client work.
And yes, it was a blast.
