History

Our Start

ATS started in 1994 with the same mission as today. Our founder, Jeff Chandler, saw an opportunity in providing high quality managed IT services and network support to firms where quality matters most – the organizations that rely heavily on information technology and high levels of services. Over the years, ATS has built client trust that has lasted for years and years. As time goes forward, our consultative approach resonates well, and our “corporate knowledge” about our clients’ IT operations helps our clients perform at a higher level.

In 1994, the Internet was a new thing. The pace of change in an Internet-enabled business has increased.  In 1994, we were building websites to run on Mosaic. JavaScript did not exist. A 56Kbps line was the most common fixed rate bandwidth available.

Advancements

In 1996, we added managed hosting & cloud and web design & development as formal business units to our service offerings. Along with our managed IT services & network support and IT strategy consulting, these service groups allowed us to offer our clients comprehensive IT support, tailored to client needs.

ATS Today

2014 marked our 20th anniversary. We continue to remain profitable with steady growth. This track record is the result of our enduring client-focused, consultative, and knowledgeable approach.

Today, we are not only a leader in IT services but also named among the top website design companies in the Washington, D.C. metro area, delivering services to organizations across the U.S., and routinely support users in every time zone around the world.

Where We Are Going

Technology change is a fact of life. Who would have imagined the iPad back in 1994. Today we are evolving our business to address managed services, a PC-less mobile computing world, the rapid growth of business critical applications, and ubiquitous bandwidth. We are delivering IaaS and exploring PaaS, while advising more clients on how to transition to the cloud.

Jeff Chandler

Jeff Chandler

President

Jeff is an IT executive and entrepreneur with more than 35 years of experience in information technology, including positions at several major consulting firms. He founded ATS in 1994 to address the IT needs of smaller organizations that have the same complex IT needs as large organizations, but lack access to high quality consulting. In addition to managing the overall operations of ATS, Jeff consults on IT strategy for businesses throughout the mid-Atlantic. A native of Georgia, Jeff graduated from Davidson College with a BS in Physics, and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Georgia. He and his wife reside in Royal Oak, MD.

Alex Koludrovic

Alex Koludrovic

Vice President

Alex has more than 33 years of experience in software development, networking, and hosting operations. As part of the ATS management team, he provides guidance to the cloud and software development businesses. Alex’s expertise centers around the delivery of managed hosting services in the hybrid cloud environment for associations, financial institutions and professional services. Alex grew up overseas in Asia. He is a graduate of The George Washington University with bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He also holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from GWU. He and his family reside in Fairfax, VA.

Barbara Kent

Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Barbara has more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting serving in various financial leadership positions in small- and mid-sized firms, including eight plus years with government contract service companies. She has extensive expertise in cash management, financial budgets, forecasting, and strategic planning.Barbara graduated from the University of Texas with a BBA and holds an MBA from Marymount University plus a CPA certification. She is from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Texas. She and her husband reside in Alexandria, Virginia.

Kristine Barton

Kristine Barton

Director of Consulting Services

Kristine has been advising clients on business initiatives and technology for almost two decades in the DC Metro area, specializing in telecommunications, cloud architecture, and network management. She leads the team responsible for providing strategies and solutions, using technology to support the business needs, especially where critical exposures in security and business continuity are identified. A native of Canada, with a background in Mathematics, Kristine spent 11 years in eye care as both a licensed optician and board certified refractionist, before changing careers to the field of network engineering. Kristine and her husband reside in Vienna, VA.


Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

We help our clients use technology more strategically to realize their business goals. In doing so, we often extend our role beyond IT to help them promote their missions and bring real, positive change. CSR is not a buzz word for us, it is how we conduct ourselves every day.
